Jones' childhood was difficult due to her being raised by a single mom with a large family. Her mother had been constantly moving and she even spent some time living at the bottom of her home. Jones was required to go to a new high school each year due to her nomadic background. She was a member of four families during her time at high school to study at one location. Jones was awarded the Gatorade Iowa Track and Field Award for the Best Athlete during her time at school. She also was a part of the school orchestra, as cellist. Jones at the time she was going to college, was regarded as one of the top hurdlers. She was the winner of the 100-meter hurdles in the 2002 NCAA Track & Field Championship. Jones also was a part of the second team to win the 100-meter relay. In 2003 and 2004, Jones won the hurdles indoor event at the NCAA Championship. Jones is training since 2005 when she graduated from her studies. In 2005 she won the winner of the Torino Memorial race, in 2006 she took one of the Heusden and Ostrava racers.
The family was raised and born in Cape Town South Africa Brandt relocated with her family Auckland New Zealand in her in her late teens. Brandt was discovered locally by casting directors and landed the part of Naevia, in the Starz smash Spartacus Blood and Sand and Spartacus Gods of the Arena. Produced by Steven S. After a few years of working in retail and then being promoted to the position of IT manager consultant. Lesley was featured in a variety of commercial ads after several modeling assignments. Lesley Brandt is a supporting actor on the New Zealand television drama Shortland Street. She then appeared in the sci-fi film This Is Not My Life which is based on the anecdote of Waimoana. Lesley Brandt was cast in the Television show Spartacus: Blood and Sand as Naevia who was a young hostage. She was later depicted her character in Spartacus: Gods of the Arena mini-series.
